Section 194 CPA: High Court rules witness protection must extend to the defence

In a petition brought by our founder, a three-judge bench of the High Court at Mwanza held that confining witness protection to the prosecution violates the constitutional guarantee of equal protection of the law. Parliament has twelve months to amend the provision.
